Domain Parking
cpmenu
"Parking" a domain to your primary domain results in the parked domain mirroring the content of your
primary web site. For example, many users "protect" their domain name by registering the same name
with .com, .net, and .org extensions. You could also register completely unique domain names and
have them all point to the same IP number and mirror the content of your main web site.
Domain parking is available at an additional cost. Contact sales for current pricing. Domain parking
also requires that the parked domain names be registered with an appropriate domain name registrar.
Adding a Parked Domain
Once the domain name that you wish to park has been registered, and the park has been "unlocked" for
your account, you can add the park through your control panel.
- Select "Extras" from your control panel's left navigation bar.
- Select "Park Domain" from the top navigation bar.
- Enter the domain name you wish to park in the textbox and click on "Setup". Do not
put .www in front of the domain name.

Click on the "View Parked Domains" button to get a list of all the parked domains on your account.
Deleting a Parked Domain
To remove, or "unpark" a domain, use the "Delete a Parked Domain" function. Just enter the domain name
you want to remove, and click the "Delete Parked" button. NOTE: This is irreversible. If you later decide
to "repark" a deleted domain, you will have to repurchase the park.

Redirecting a Parked Domain
Your parked domain will mirror the content of your primary domain. If you want the parked domain to display
different content, you can use the Subdomain Redirection function.
Use this interface to redirect parked domains you have already created into subdirectories of your main domain.
In the first box, enter your parked domain name; and in the right box, enter a directory and path to redirect to.
Please note that this directory must be created first -- this interface does not create the directory for you.
In the example below, when someone browses http://myparkeddomain.com, they will be redirected to
http://myparkeddomain.com/mypark/mypage.html; when someone types in http://anotherdomain.org, they will be redirected
to http://anotherdomain.org/another/. There is no reference to the main domain name when using this redirection feature,
only the parked domain is shown in the browser.

E-mail is also aliased. In other words if you've parked myparkeddomain.com to
myprimarydomain.com, e-mail addressed to anyname@myparkeddomain.com will be delivered to the
anyname@myprimarydomain.com mailbox.
